This article will explain how you can find out who your Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO) is if you only have your equine's UELN. It will also link you to the PIO's contact details.
All UELNs starting with 826 are UK PIOs. If your equines UELN starts with 372 or any other prefix number, it's a foreign PIO and you will have to have the passport overstamped by a UK based PIO, you can technically register with any approved UK PIO, however, you may find one which is close to or the same as your horse’s breed/type which you wish to choose, the choice is yours.
Passport Issuing Organisations marked in italics are no longer active and will be unable to process your request. You will be assigned new PIOs who manage the passports of closed PIOs.
